The lineup for the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival's NHS tribute shows, to be held on Woolwich Common 28th and 31st August, has been announced. Joseph Millson's name is included. More details are available on the festival website. 

The line-up for the Greenwich plus Docklands International Festival's tributes to the NHS has been revealed. The two ceremonies, titled In Memoriam, will take place on 28 and 31 August (book-ending the first weekend of the upcoming outdoor London festival) on Woolwich Common.

One hundred and twenty tickets will be available, with priority given to NHS workers. Wider audiences will be able to watch the two shows at a later date online.

Last month Joseph Millson tweeted about an interview he was about to do with Dan Zagoril, live via You Tube. The video interview has finally surfaced again on You Tube, and is embedded below. Joseph chats positively about a wide range of subjects, and deflects some backhanded compliments from the interviewer very well. 

From what Joseph says, it seems Mary Poppins will not be returning to the stage this year, but he has managed to keep himself busy in horribly difficult times.

Mary Poppins: won't reopen in the West End before 2021

Cameron Mackintosh announced today that a number of west end theatre productions would not be able to re-open before 2021, and included in the list of shows is Mary Poppins. Covid-19 has been absolutely devastating for the UK entertainment industry, which brings in £1.28 billion per year for the UK economy just in ticket sales. It is very sad for all the cast and crew unable to work, especially those who are unable to access the government assistance programmes. 

Producer Cameron Mackintosh has said his West End productions of Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, Hamilton and The Phantom of the Opera will not be returning before 2021.
