Please please please tell me that there is going to be a second series of Banished. Please don't leave me hanging????? Ive been totaly reeled in...... hook and line. Really good, the best series ive watched for ages.Thank you.

The BBC really must commission a second series of Banished - it became a remarkable and powerful drama with a superb cast and some wonderful performances. It deserves a prime slot on BBC1.

A friend recommended Banished to me, and after watching the first episode, I couldn't stop and binge-watched all the rest until I was caught up. It is so thoroughly engrossing, and all the characters are so multi-dimensional and so beautifully portayed that I ended up feeling empathy for them, even when they were doing terrible things to one another. That kind of performance and that level of writing is too rare on television, so I definitely hope Banished will be renewed! Also, there are so many unresolved stories that need to be fleshed out; it can't stop now!

We looked forward to watching Banished every week. Loved it!!
Hope there will be a 8th series not just a second series!!!
 
 

I'm not biased bacause I fancy Russell Tovey (though he does have the cutest ears in show-biz). I think the series has guts, brains and a lack of self-consciousness. It's a rocking good story and you just can't leave it there. There's much more to this story - so let McGovern tell it...

I couldn't believe how shocking, how thought-provoking and how unbelievably gripping one series could be.... I was decidely cross when left on a cliff hanger with no hint of how if might develop.  If anyone had any doubts about the inequality of the sexes and how grossly unfair life could be, then this series would surely help to dismiss any such thoughts.  Every bone in my body and every nuron in my brain aches to know what happens next, and in the vain but distant hope that good will prevail and the women will be able to seek some assembly of revenge for the dispicable way in which they were treated.
 

Bbc stop ending good shows our zoo first and now banished. Pathetic!!! 
Bring back banished

Really? How could they cancel this?! I thought it was great!

Please don't cancel one of our all-time favorites. Bannished is like a book you can't put down.  We binged watched Season 1 and went through withdrawls waiting for your Season 2.  We are shocked to read that Season 2 is canceled.  I can't imagine why.  Please reconsider.

Series 1 of banished was FANTASTIC - PLEASE PLEASE  we must have series 2

Here it is August of 2019 and I'm just finding Banished on Prime. OMG! Fantastic show. I am not sure I want to even finish Season 1 now that I know they axed it. What a shame! Why are the best shows always cancelled?!
