Banished was the final featured TV show on BBC One's Points of View this afternoon, and they included several brilliant recorded videos from the passionate fans of the show. Points of View asked the production team and BBC Two about a second series. BBC Two said no decisions were yet made, while Sita Williams from RSJ told us that Jimmy McGovern was writing more episodes, and that they were determined to bring more of Banished to our TV Screens. Watch Points Of View again on BBC iPlayer.
"Jimmy has continued to work on Banished, because he started with a very clear idea of this long, long story - and there's a lot more to come and he is working on it. Clearly the audience, people on social media, and the people we meet on the street have so identified with the characters, and have loved the characters, that we're doing to make sure that these characters continue to live and appear on your screens."
The Executive Producer of #Banished says that the team are determined to bring you more. No decision from the BBC yet. #bbcpov
