The BBC has uploaded a new clip from eoisode 1 of banished, which begins airing this Thursday, 5th March at 9pm. No sign of Joseph, sadly. Another new photo has been uploaded to TV Choice, while the London Evening Standard has a great lowdown on the series.

Well, the seven-part series follows prisoners Elizabeth Quinn and James Freeman as they try to survive in the colony despite food shortages, illness and harsh regulations. Plus some other pretty dodgy characters. James and Elizabeth face-off against Major Robert Ross (Joseph Millson), who rules with an iron fist, and the more idealistic Governor Arthur Phillip (David Wenham) who wants to build a new land where everyone can live harmoniously. That sounds tough. Yes, it really was. Spare a thought for Elizabeth; she’s only there because she punched a woman in the face who turned out to be a duchess. Awkward.
