Tonight's episode of Banished are the TV picks for Digital Spy and The Guardian, with has a great preview from The Guardian today.
Short rations, sexual servitude and searing sun. Episode three of Jimmy McGovern’s colony saga, and it’s safe to say things are grim down under. Still, as the convicts build a church on their own time, there’s hope. Oh, hang on, Governor Phillip thinks his prisoners need to rest rather than expend valuable calories on non-essential projects. The bit tonight where James (Russell Tovey) doesn’t, as he fears, meet his maker is rather predictable, but beyond that, a multilayered drama where the plot unfolds in unexpected ways. Terrific.
